Camping in Córdoba

Córdoba. In the Guadalquivir valley in the foothills of Sierra Morena, is the capital founded by the Carthaginians, later conquered by the Romans (152 BC) and a melting pot of three cultures: Christian, Jewish and Muslim.
You can begin your visit to the Jewish quarter, near the Mezquita (Cordoba's main attraction, must for visitors), with small whitewashed houses and windows decorated with floral geranium bars: Calle de las Flores, the Wall ... Across the Jewish Quarter, the Archaeological Museum, very rich thanks to the treasures found in the excavations of Medina Azahara. Other points of interest are the Plaza del Potro (sixteenth century fountain), the slide (s. xvii) and the famous Christ of the Lanterns, also the Viana Palace and the Museum of Fine Arts.

Other points of interest: Road above Montor (Church of St. Bartholomew and St. Mary of the Castillo de la Mota, a former mosque) and Bujak (parish of St. Mary Major). From there, downhill, Montilla, the heart of wine production and Montilla-Moriles possessing important city monuments Museum Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, churches of St. James, Santa Clara and Santa Ana, then Aguilar (parrroquia Sta . Soterraño Mary, s. xiii), the historic village of Cabra, Lucena (Moral castle) and located in the heart of Andalusia, Puente Genil (Parish Purification, s. xiv; Conception church, etc.. ).

Sierra, north, Hornachuelos (awesome scenery), Posadas, Villaviciosa and Almodovar del Rio, founded by the barbarians, whose castle (year 749), built on a large rock, stands next to the Guadalquivir.
