Camping in Huelva
Huelva. At the confluence of both rivers, the city thrives on activities related to copper ore (Rio Tinto) and its commercial and fishing port. From there (Palos de la Frontera) Christopher Columbus came to America in 1492. A monument dedicated to the Genoese, built in Punta del Sebo, commemorates him.
Other monuments worth visiting are the cathedral of the Merced (s. xvii), the churches of S. Pedro and Concepción, the shrine of Nuestra Senora de la Cinta (s. xv), located at the end of Conquero ride, too, Barrio Obrero Provincial Museum and Queen Victoria Building footprint English style. In this province, bordering Cadiz, expands the splendid Doñana National Park, the largest natural reserve in Europe.
Other points of interest: 8 km from the capital, La Rabida Monastery (XV century), one of the most valuable monuments of Moorish. Are near Palos, and S. Moguer Juan del Puerto. Camino de Sevilla, and along the Red River, the walled city of Niebla (Roman bridge). Following the coast, Matalascañas, and going inland, Almonte (delving deeper into the marshes are accessing the most attractive religious enclave world: El Rocío), La Palma, Rociana, Bollullos ... people who smell of wine in Andalusia.
On the west coast, Ayamonte, in the natural border with Portugal puts the Guadiana, carnivals and the vastness of its beaches (Isla Canela).
