Camping in Teruel
Teruel. City of Iberian origin and located on a hill on the left bank of the river Turia, near the confluence of Alfambra Guadalaviar and is regarded as the "Moorish city" par excellence. Countless monuments of this style of guarantee, despite the fierce and destructive battles that were fought there in the civil war.
The tour can be started by the old town stands the majority of monuments: Alcazar, five magnificent Mudejar towers (most notably the Tower Fermosa), noble houses ... A visit to the cathedral (ss. xii-xiv). Also, the Wall, with the towers of San Esteban and alreu, and the portals of Andaquilla and Betrayal, the Community House (sixteenth century), Renaissance, and the Source of Torico (in the plaza of the same name) Viaduct and the stairs. The Archaeological Museum keeps rich archeological collections of ceramics and Teruel.
Other points of interest: Cella, the head of Jiloca, whose birth takes place in the Fountain of Cella, the largest artesian spring in Europe. Close (38 km west of the capital), Albarracín, a walled city retains its medieval ruins, stand out among its many monuments, the cathedral (ss. xiii-xiv), the Episcopal Palace (Baroque) and the Temple of Sta . Mary (s. xv). To the south, along a road that runs through very scenic landscapes, is Bezas. From the capital, speaking also to the south is Rubielos Mora, at the foot of the mountains and along the river Gúdar Mora preserved monuments such as the local castle (s. xiv), in Gothic style. A few miles to the east, Rubielos de Mora, where they can admire, besides its beautiful landscapes, the church of Santa Maria Maggiore, the Carmelite convent and church of the Augustinian convent.
