Camping in Guadalajara
Guadalajara. Founded by the Romans, some historians point to the Iberians as founders, the city was conquered by the Arabs and conquered in the s. xi by Alvar Minaya Fañez.
Its most characteristic monument is the palace of the dukes of the Infantry (s. xv), perfect synthesis of Flamboyant Gothic and Moorish, with a stunning interior courtyard for their ornamental beauty. From here, going to the center of the city, passing through the Co-Cathedral, in the pc. St. Mary's, brick building in Mudejar style (the porches of their sides are fifteenth century).
Other points of interest: The itinerary of the Romanesque Route, starting from the medieval Sigüenza (conjunto. monumental Romanesque structure) of the historic road Atienza, suggested deviating from the C-114 to the fortified Palazuelos, a Carabias (good example of rural Romanesque) and Riba de Santiuste (castle). From Atienza is followed by mountain landscapes dotted with picturesque towns (some with beautiful Romanesque churches.) Among S. Andrés Alcorlo Congosto and, crossing the swamp area of palms, you arrive at Jadraque (castle) and eventually returns to Atienza. Alcarria. Atienza Taking as a starting point, we turn to Brihuega. From here, the C-201, Masegoso of Tajuña and Cifuentes. A 10 km to the south, Trillo and picturesque landscapes (Arbeteta canyons and Ocentejo) north of Saelices Riba and Santa Maria del Espino (rock paintings in caves and Hoz Casares) to Alcolea del Pinar, Sauce (Roman church) and return.
Alto Henares and Jarama. From Guadalajara, by the N-II until Torija, the medieval and picturesque Cogolludo Hita (Plaza Mayor and fifteenth-century palace of the Duques de Medinaceli) and, as in the mountains, Tamajón. Descending along the marsh-ford: Jarama-channel, Retiendas, town of Bethlehem, and Cubillo de Uceda Uceda. Return.
De Molina. To the east, between man and Campillo de Dueñas, Zafra Castle. Molina near the gorge of the Hoz del Gallo. Southern populations (Fuembellida, Taravilla, etc.) And East (Orea, surrounded by pine trees) offer wonderful scenery. Finally, south of Guadalajara, Azuqueca de Henares, Chiloeches, Pozo de Guadalajara, Pioz (fifteenth century castle) and Mondéjar Alcarrian plateau is traversed from east to west. Nearby, Almonacid de Zorita Albalate the monumental Pastrana, Sacedón (at the bottom of the reservoir Entrepeñas).
