Camping in Palencia
Palencia. Located in the north central part of Castilla y León, Palencia is almost heaven. Do not sing to your soul poets and their sisters emblematic of Castile, but their land has accused the most variety and contrasts. In its capital, the most renowned religious monument is the cathedral, known to many as "The Beautiful Unknown." Unique are also the churches of S. Other points of interest: The province is rich in prehistoric monuments, Romans, Visigoths and, especially, Romanesque, who turn their territory into a museum of great value.
Aguilar de Campo stands the monastery of Sta . María la Real, the gateways to town and the church of St. Cecilia, as well as its collegiate and castle. In Baños de Cerrato, the great basilica of S. Visigothic Juan de Baños, Recesvinto consecrated by the king, in 661.
