Camping in Soria
Soria. It is located in the easternmost land of Castile and Leon. Alma de Becquer and Machado. Soria, air of poetry, is an ancient city lying on the banks of the Duero and rich in Romanesque art.
In the capital include numerous churches dating from the s. xii: the Sto. Sunday, S. Juan de Rabaneda-with a curious cruciform S. Pedro, whose style recalls the pure Romanesque monastery of Sto. Domingo de Silos, in the province of Burgos, and S. Juan de Duero, hidden elms.
On the same side of the Duero is the hermitage of S. Saturio Soria pattern, built on a rock beside the water. With regard to the civil buildings of note is the palace of the Counts of Gomara and Numancia Museum, with important objects and pottery remains Celtiberian.
Other points of interest: In Ágreda stands outside his Moorish wall and the Church of the Miracles of s. xvi, where there is still a Virgin Black xiv. In Almazán can meet its walled enclosure and the Romanesque church of S. Miguel and the palace of the Counts of Altamira. Berlanga de Duero In his collegiate highlights (Renaissance), and in Burgo de Osma, its famous cathedral, whose old chapter house is preserved Roman remains. The town of Medina has a large Roman triumphal arch, three doors, one in Spain, his beautiful Ducal Palace and the Collegiate Gothic style. The remains of the ancient city of Numancia Celtiberian are within walking distance of the capital, just 8 km. Was destroyed by the Romans in 133 BC JC.
