Camping in Valencia
Valencia. Spain's third city, is an attractive industrial center. His garden, irrigated by the Turia, is one of the richest agricultural areas of the country. The City of Arts and Sciences has become the emblem of Valencia for the twenty-first century.
is divided by the river Turia, whose water was diverted into the garden and to avoid the floods that inundated the city with the arrival of the 'cold drop'. This channel has been creating green areas, recreational areas such as "Gulliver", giant sculptures, which function as playground for children, and the Music Palace, modern glass dome music venue. The cathedral combines several styles, most notably the gothic portal of the Apostles (s. xiv) and Miguelete Tower, from which you can admire a beautiful view of Valencia. La Plaza de la Virgen, the tiny square Redonda, the Barrio del Carmen and Plaza de Zaragoza is the main attraction of the old town as well as the Silk Market, one of the most beautiful Spanish buildings, and the Central Market, which represent the idea of commerce and art. Las Torres de Serrano keep the river from s. xiv.
Other points of interest: El Saler, an area where almost wild pines and dunes combine with the vastness of the beach is just 12 km southeast of the capital. A little further south, we consider the Albufera, a freshwater lake that occupies 3,114 ha and is separated from the sea by a coastal strip 10 km long, whose formation is due to flooding and river Turia Jucar. Ecological reserve, this beautiful lake is surrounded by rice paddies and shacks, typical houses Valencia. Alcira, the true "city of Orange." is located south of Valencia, in the Ribera Alta del Jucar. Hit many times by floods, in the old city retains the ancient palace of the Marquis de Santiago, with an interesting facade which overlap the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque.
The Valencian coast has also numerous locations of major tourist attraction.
