Camping in País Vasco
The Basque Country or Euskadi is a community of northern Spain that bordered on the north by the Cantabrian Sea and France. It consists of three provinces and two of them are coastal. Of great beauty, the beaches of the Basque Country prácitca are suitable for water sports like surfing, sailing, diving, snorkeling, bodyboarding, etc.. The Basque Country is located in northern Spain, overlooking the Bay of Biscay and surrounded from west to east by Cantabria, Castilla y León (Burgos), La Rioja and Navarra. It has an area of 7,268 km2 and consists of three provinces: Alava, Guipuzcoa and Vizcaya. Ancient homelands, the first historical references to human presence dating back to 13,000 years ago-were the Celts and later the Romans who left their mark (mostly the latter). Currently, within the regional framework established by the Spanish Constitution, the Basque Country Statute of Autonomy enjoys being a so-called 'historic autonomy' with Catalonia and Galicia.
