Camping in Sierra Nevada
Sierra Nevada is a mountain range located in penibética mountain range, which extends the central-southeast of the province of Granada and the southwestern part of the province of Almeria, Spain. Is isolated by Lecrín Valley to the west, the valley of Guadalfeo the south by the north Betic depression, Gérgal the corridor to the east and the southeast Valley Andarax. Within the Sierra Nevada is the Mulhacen, the highest peak in the Iberian Peninsula with 3480 m of altitude, and the Pico del Veleta, the third in height with 3,392 m. In addition to the popular ski resort of Sierra Nevada, there are many recreational facilities in these places. There is a season of skiing, much less known in the Port of Ragua, and numerous hiking trails. Some of the most popular routes are: Star Trail and Route Sulayr. |
